2012 Gratiot Cruise set for August 5
The 2012 Clinton Township Gratiot Cruise will be held from noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 5. This will be the 10th Annual Cruise. The 2011 Gratiot Cruise attracted more than 135,000 people to the corridor and represents one of the township's premier family events. A special thanks goes to the Clinton Township Gratiot Cruise committee for their efforts in making this annual event a success. DDA proud to sponsor annual Festival of the Senses on the grounds of the Clinton Township Civic Center
Every year Gratiot Downtown Development Authority helps sponsor the annual Festival of the Senses art fair on the grounds of the Clinton Township Civic Center at Romeo Plank and Canal Road. This year's Festival was held on September 24 and 25 and featured more than 125 Michigan artists, food vendors and entertainment venues.
The Festival features a wide variety of art including paintings, ceramics, photography, weaving, etc. Music was provided free of charge by a number of entertainers. Food was available from Cheli's Chili, Vince and Joes Gourmet Market and Lazybones Smoke House. A variety of children's activities were also be featured in the Historical Village at the Civic Center.

Blood Drive collects more than 400 pints of blood
Clinton Township's annual Community-wide blood drive held this year in March collected more than 400 pints of blood at six donor locations across the township. The Baker College campus on Gratiot is one of the donor stations every year.
The Gratiot DDA is a sponsor of the blood drive that is held over a two day period. The American Red Cross says that the blood collected at this annual event helps meet the needs of patients throughout the Detroit metro area.
Newest Domestic Automobile models now (or coming soon) to Gratiot Auto Dealers
Some of the newest automobile models hitting the streets of America are now at (or coming soon) to the three most successful domestic automobile dealers in the United States.
Dorian Ford on Gratiot between 15 and 16 mile roads now has plenty of new Fiestas on sale. The 38 mpg vehicle joins the hybrid Fusion and hybrid Escape. A newly redesigned Explorer will be hitting the showroom floor in early 2011 followed by a redesigned Focus and Escape. Ford also is offering a host of redesigned, more fuel efficient engines with twin turbos that on average increase gas mileage by about 20-30 percent.
Causley Buick GMC on Gratiot north of Metropolitan Parkway now has on its showroom floor the newly introduced Regal four-door saloon that boasts a completely new interior and exterior. It joins the LaCrosse that was redesigned last year. The new Regal boasts a variety of standard equipment that in the past were considered options, including leather seats, traction control and other convenience items.
Pat Moran Chevrolet on Gratiot between 15 and 16 mile roads now has an ample supply of the new Camero that is the newest retro yet modern muscle car to appear on the streets of the United States. Its popularity is making it a world car with sales of the vehicle to begin in the UK in 2011. An ample supply of new Malibus can also be found at Moran, while the 2011 Chevy Cruze is also on the way.
All three dealerships have consistently placed in the top 10 dealerships for their respective car companies in the United States.
